Response Action Training
Course Participation & Training Disclaimer
Effective September 25, 2026
Training purpose
RAT courses provide general education and practical training. They do not replace emergency medical care, legal advice, professional diagnosis, or instructions from emergency responders. In an emergency, call 911 and follow dispatcher instructions.
Online and skills-based learning
Completion of an online module documents participation in RAT online learning only. It does not, by itself, prove hands-on skill competency or create a third-party credential. When a course includes a live skills check, the exact credential and requirements will be identified before payment.
Participant responsibility
- Follow all instructor, facility, equipment and safety directions.
- Disclose accessibility needs or physical limitations before hands-on activity.
- Stop participating and notify the instructor if an activity feels unsafe.
- Do not use course information outside the limits of your training, authorization or applicable law.
Firearm-related courses
All firearm-related classes remain instructor-led. Online material is supplemental and does not authorize unsupervised handling, carrying or use of a firearm. Participants must meet legal eligibility requirements and all range, instructor and jurisdiction rules.
Assumption of risk
Hands-on activities may involve kneeling, lifting, practice equipment, simulated scenarios or supervised range activity. Participation is voluntary and may involve inherent risks. Separate releases may be required for particular classes or venues.
Questions or requests may be submitted through the contact or scheduling form on the RAT website.
